Our aim has always been to find the best fit solutions for our customers, improving the lives of as many people as possible.
Our story began in 1975 when a group of orthotists founded the business with the aim to provide orthotic products and services. Over several years, the business evolved, and the focus shifted from orthotics to assistive technology which was a new and upcoming sector in Australia. The business transformed further when Rhonda and Iain Hogg acquired the company in 2000. They adopted a fresh approach to assistive technology solutions and quickly renamed the business Specialised Wheelchair Company to better encompass what the company does best. They have been running Specialised Wheelchair Company as a family business ever since. The rest is history.
